  I have been a long time customer and lover of this establishment since it opened! I used to come over from the mainland to see my parents and our first stop would be to go to Hot Chocolate to pick up some of there delicious decedent treats and then walk along 5th street. When I heard they were opening up Cake Bread I was delighted and I am never disappointed! They're plenty to help even with all the hustle and bustle of people in and out. My old favourite is the White Chocolate Raspberry Scone! Yum! I recently went to taste test the plethora of different oils and vinegars they have and went home with some white truffle oil and huckleberry balsamic vinegar. They did not disappoint!

  I'm french and moved here a few months ago. The Cakebread bakery is so far the only place we found in the Comox Valley to make croissants that are a match for those we had back in France. They are very tasty, with the right amount of butter and fluffiness. The chocolate croissants are also great but the sugar / cream on top of them are a bit too much.

  Great vinegar and oil tasting. Plus it is reasonably priced. It is more cakes,cupcakes and pastries rather than donuts. Lots of edible gifts.
